How many girls and women bear the beautiful name of Ann know that the bones of their glorious patroness are preserved to this day in the church of the little town of Apt, in the diocese of Avignon, Department of Vaucluse, France? The little town of 5000 inhabitants rests peacefully in the center of the valley, close to the river Calavon. Under the sanctuary of the cathedral there are two crypts, one over the other. The upper one dates back probably to the Eleventh Century, the lower one is the cavern, a veritable catacomb, where the first bishops went into hiding in times of persecution. And it is there that the body of St. Ann was originally kept.
