Given that it's in the name, the general assumption is that key lime pie comes in, well, key lime flavor. If you head to your local grocery store, you can see there's the original key lime pie and possibly mango key lime pie. If you ruined your New Year's diet by eating way too many slices of pie to get your daily servings of fruit but still haven't been able to satisfy your sweet tooth with these store-bought pies, you're in for a delightful surprise at Sweet Delights, a five-star bakery in Miami that makes over 25 varieties of key lime pie thanks to retired nurse-turned-pastry chef, Debbie Allen, who is also known affectionately as "Ms. Debbie."

Despite the delicious, out-of-this-world tasting pies, Allen wasn't always familiar with this kind of pie or even professional baking. She was introduced to the dessert in 2010 by a friend and only baked for friends and family prior to becoming a professional. However, when the economy took a turn for the worse, Allen suffered financial hardships and desperately needed a miracle. That's when a little bit of magic happened for everyone. She was able to turn her talent into profits and the world received unusually-flavored key lime pies such as Berry Berry, Guava, and Sweet Potato.

At Sweet Delights, pies sell for $24 for a whole poe, $13 for a half pie, and $6 for a slice, and you'll be served by Allen herself and friendly staff, some of who are homeless veterans she not only employs but helps rehabilitate. Coming soon to Sweet Delights are Valentine's Day-themed pies, which will make a perfect treat for that special someone, and an online store allowing people from all over the world to order "real Key Lime pie."

Proud of her accomplishments, Allen says there's no better reward than people enjoying her pies, and we can all dig (into) that!
