Where I'm Bound Folk Festival is here to keep folk music alive in South Florida! Come to the station to enjoy original roots based music.
Event Details
Where I’m Bound Folk Festival is going to the first of its kind for South Florida. It’s aim is to make folk music alive again in SoFla and support the musicians who are so passionate about this genre, but often unheard. There is an audience here that is asking and wanting to be a part of the story of folk music that often is tuned out by other more prominent music styles here. Folk music has roots in Florida, and we desire to bring it back to light and have a fun time doing it!
Held at the new and innovative space Elizabeth Ave Station in West Palm Beach, it will have local and out-of-state musicians, old fashioned home style cooking, a top notch bar, bohemian and folk style vendors, an open mic hour, and a musically intimate and exciting late-night after party for all the guests who can’t get enough. There will also be two house shows put on a few months before the festival featuring some of the musicians who will be performing.
It will be 12pm-12am roughly, with ticket sales at $15, all day. It will not try and attract a specific age but will be set apart from any other Florida folk festivals in that it is run and created by three musicians in their twenties, and will mostly feature and attract younger generations... AKA this festival will not put you to sleep!
