In October 2018, we reached a milestone: HabCenter turned 40. And so, as we ended 2018, we looked forward and considered how we could spend 2019, honoring HabCenter and its legacy. Over 40 years ago, our HabCenter began as a dream for families and community supporters to provide an oasis for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As we work every day to fulfill that dream, we do so with memories of our founders. On behalf of all of us here, we invite you to join us for cocktails, music and dinner by the bite on April 11, 2019 at 6:00pm for our 5th Annual Bloom Fest: Celebrating Milestones.
Once again, our beautiful Plant Nursery will be the backdrop for this fabulous evening. Bloom Fest 2018 provided great wine, craft beers, special bites, live music and a showcase of exceptional auction items. We are doing our best to out-do ourselves with each event, and Bloom Fest 2019 promises an even better evening for our guests. The celebration will benefit our clients and highlight the needs of our center.
Our 4 keystone programs – HABCO Manufacturing, Plant Nursery, Programs in Education, Art and Recreation (P.E.A.R.) and Supported Employment – provide our clients with comprehensive, individually tailored vocational training and serves to teach real-world work and life skills. A body and mind may have limitations, but we believe that the power and potential of the human spirit is limitless.
Please support our fundraising efforts through a sponsorship, donation to our silent auction or raffle, or purchase tickets to the 5th Annual Bloom Fest, which will take place on April 11th, 2019, here at HabCenter.
